Description:
PSALM 110 - THE LORD SAID UNTO MY LORD: DAVID'S LORD AND ISRAEL'S PROMISED MESSIAH BY GIDEON LEVYTAM

David, the sweet Psalmist of Israel, inspired by the Holy Spirit, wrote about half of the 150 Psalms (Tehilim in Hebrew). Psalm 110 was one of them. In Hebrew, the name David means "Beloved".
This amazing servant of God was a faithful godly man. First, as a young boy, he submitted to his father Jesse in leading his father's flock to be fed through the field of Bethlehem; and secondly, he was faithful in leading God's flock. His chosen nation, when he became the King of Israel.
David wrote Psalm 110 some 3,000 years ago, knowing that "his God" promised that out of his loin and seed would come one whom God would establish as Israel's eternal King.
God gave David the amazing, blessed, threefold promise of:
(1) eternal house, (2) eternal kingdom and (3) eternal throne in 2 Samuel 7:11-13; 16. Long before our Lord Jesus-Yeshua the Messiah entered into this world, David understood , in some small measure, that out of his seed the Redeemer, (Goel in Hebrew) who is Israel's promised Messiah, would come. Psalm 110 is a Messianic Psalm (Mizmor in Hebrew) which presents before us the coming Messiah, not only in His divine nature, but also in Messiah, not only in His divine nature, but also in His humanity as a King and Priest.
